Coaching for leaders at defining moments
Some moments in a leadership career carry more weight than others. Moving into a new role, stepping onto a board for the first time, leading through change, or simply wondering what comes next.
I work with Chief Executives, board members and senior leaders across the not for profit sector, financial services and higher education. Most clients come through referral and are typically navigating something significant or thinking carefully about the next stage of their career.

What makes my coaching distinctive
Alongside my coaching practice, I work as an executive search partner, advising Boards on Chief Executive, Executive Director and senior leadership appointments across social purpose organisations.

Most leaders arrive in a new role to find that the reality feels quite different from the appointment. I understand that gap from both sides. I know how leaders are seen and assessed by the people who appoint them, and I know what it takes to lead well once they are in post. That understanding shapes everything about how I coach.

About me

I'm Juliet Brown. I have worked alongside senior leaders for over twenty years, and my coaching is grounded in the realities of complex, scrutinised organisations where judgement and accountability matter.
Alongside my coaching practice, I am a Partner at Starfish Search, one of the UK's top executive search firms, where I advise Boards on Chief Executive, Executive Director and senior leadership appointments across the public and social sectors. I also work with an international career consultancy, supporting senior leaders through significant career transitions.
Together, these roles mean I understand not only how leaders develop, but how they are seen, assessed and appointed. It is a perspective that shapes everything about how I coach.
I am an ILM Level 7 qualified coach and a Senior Practitioner accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. I am also a trustee of Smart Works, a national charity supporting women into employment.
